American injured in attack E. Saudi Arabia - police

RIYADH, Jan 30 (KUNA) -- An American citizen was injured when the car he was riding with a fellow national came under attack in eastern Saudi Arabia on Friday, police of the eastern province.
Unknwon people opened fire at the two Americans who were driving on Salah Ad-Deen Al-Ayoubi Street in the city of Mabzar of the Ihsaa Region, wounding one of them, a police spokesman was quoted by the official SPA news agency as saying.
The wounded was taken to hospital and his health condition is stable, he added, but did not elaborate about the condition of the other American.
Security authorities were investigating the attack. (end) od.bs
