Ambassador to Mexico Samih Johar Hayat with Mexican Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Carlos de Icaza
KUWAIT, Jan 30 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Ambassador to Mexico Samih Johar Hayat has discussed with Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mexico Carlos de Icaza bilateral relations and ways of promoting them.
The Kuwaiti embassy in Mexico said in a statement received by KUNA on Friday that Ambassador Hayat and the Mexican official thrashed out political, economic, trade and cultural ties to serve the interests of the two countries.
A congratulatory message from Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was handed over by de Icaza to Ambassador Hayat, the statement noted.
According to the statement, the message was on the occasion of the ninth anniversary of His Highness the Amir's ascending to power, the 54th National Day and 24th Liberation Day.
The message affirmed Mexican commitment to deepening relations with Kuwait, it noted. (end)
