FBI places Haji Mohamed to 'Most Wanted Terrorists' list

WASHINGTON, Jan 30 (KUNA) -- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) added Liban Haji Mohamed to the "Most Wanted Terrorists" list and is charged with providing material and resources to terrorist groups Al-Shabaab and Al-Qaeda. The FBI is offering a reward of up to USD 50,000 for information leading to his arrest and conviction.
"Liban Haji Mohamed is a Somali-born naturalized US citizen. Traveling with his US passport, Mohamed is believed to have left the US on or about July 5, 2012, with the intent to join Al-Shabaab in East Africa," said an FBI statement late on Thursday.
Before leaving the US he worked as a taxicab driver and lived in the suburbs of Washington DC in Northern Virginia.
There are now 31 individuals on the "Most Wanted Terrorists" list that is comprised of "individuals who have been charged in the US for their alleged involvement in various terrorist attacks or planned attacks around the world against US interests or persons". (end) ak.hb
