Dozens of casualties in bomb attacks NE Egypt

CAIRO, Jan 29 (KUNA) -- At least eight people were killed and 25 others wounded in a wave of bombings in Arish city, North Sinai governorate, northeast Egypt.
The almost-simultaneous bomb and mortar attacks targeted military camps, police stations and security checkpoints in Arish city and Sheikh Zowayd town, the Egyptian TV station reported Thursday night, citing a security officer.
The attacks were followed by shootings and missile attacks on several sites including the security directorate in the area, the security source said, noting that victims were rushed to the military hospital in Arish. (end) aff.gb
