World leaders, officials continue to pay respects over Saudi King passing

RIYADH, Jan 26 (KUNA) -- World leaders and officials continue to arrive in Saudi Arabia for the third day in a row to pay their respects for the late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and to offer their best wishes to his newly-enthroned successor.
They arrived to commiserate and to congratulate Saudi Arabia's new King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Premier Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz and Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Prince Mohammad bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz.
These included the presidents of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades, Ivory Coast Alassane Ouattara and Guinea Alpha Conde.
Also present were Canada's Governor-General David Johnston, Poland's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Tomasz Siemoniak, Lebanon's ex-army commander Michel Aoun and President of the Board of Interpol Foundation Elias Murr, who held former government positions in Lebanon, including deputy prime minister and interior minister.
US President Barack Obama is expected to arrive on Tuesday. (end) od.sd
