KUWAIT, Jan 26 (KUNA) -- South Korea has cruised into the final of the 2015 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup after beating Iraq 2-0 in a semi-final game on Monday in Sydney.
Thanks to Lee Jeong-hyeop and Kim Young-gwon, who scored in the 20th and 50th minutes respectively and did the job for the Koreans to move a step closer to win the title, Koreans dominated a wet semi-final.
Iraq tried to equalize many times, but the Korean defense scattered all Iraqi opportunities.
Meanwhile, the UAE will take on Australia tomorrow (Tuesday) in a semi-final encounter.
The winner of this game will face South Korea in the final, but the loser will meet Iraq for the third and fourth places. (end)
