Saudi Arabia to overcome obstacles, persevere -- Jarallah

KUWAIT, Jan 23 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia will overcome obstacles and persevere despite the gap left by the death of Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, said Undersecretary at the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry Khaled Suleiman Al-Jarallah here Friday.
Speaking to Al-Arabiya news channel, Al-Jarallah said that the swift transition in leadership that occurred after the death of the Saudi King was natural and normal, affirming that however great the loss was, Saudi Arabia will continue to be a strong actor within the regional and international scenes.
The new King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud is the man who will continue the strong legacy left by his predecessors and will lead the nation strongly into the future, said Al-Jarallah.
On Kuwaiti-Saudi relations, Jarallah said that Kuwaitis will forever remember the Saudi stance during the invasion and liberation of Kuwait, affirming that the Saudi monarchy and people were among the first that stood with Kuwait during crisis. (end) maa.gta
