ISTANBUL, Jan 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Ambassador to Turkey Abdullah Al-Thuwaikh said Thursday that Kuwait National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim's visit to Turkey, along with a parliamentary delegation, is a tribute to Kuwaiti-Turkish bilateral relations.
The Kuwaiti Speaker's visit also confirms Kuwait's keenness in taking part in all types of events hosted by Turkey, whether within bilateral or international framework, Al-Thuwaikh, also the dean of the diplomatic corps in Turkey, stated to KUNA.
This visit is of importance, particularly towards issues concerning the Islamic world, among which the unified stand against offending Prophet Muhammad, he said, affirming Kuwait's clear stand regarding condemning these acts.
Al-Ghanim is currently in Istanbul to participate in the 10th session of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which is to conclude later today. (end) rkf.nbs.ma
