Arab League condemns attacks on Algeria embassy in Tripoli

CAIRO, Jan 18 (KUNA) -- Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil Al-Araby on Sunday sharply condemned a recent "terrorist" attack that took place near the Algerian embassy in the Libyan capital of Tripoli.
Earlier on Saturday, at least three people were injured in a bomb attack against the Algerian embassy in Tripoli.
The secretary-general said in a statement this "criminal act comes within the context of terrorist operations targeting diplomatic missions' headquarters in Tripoli and violates international laws and charters".
Al-Araby lamented that such "terrorist acts" only aim to terrify the Libyan people and undermine ongoing Arab and international efforts to support the peaceful solution to the Libyan crisis. (end) asm.mt
