MANAMA, Dec 24 (KUNA) -- Bahrain's Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa stressed here on Wednesday that the distinguished ties between Kuwait and Bahrain contributed to unifying and coordinating stances of the two countries toward several crucial issues.
Prince Salman made this remark in a speech carried by Bahrain News Agency (BNA) while receiving Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, who presided over a Kuwaiti delegation to the eighth Kuwaiti-Bahraini joint committee ministerial meeting.
Prince Salman pointed that the two political leaderships are keen on coordinating the two countries' stances about crucial issues, and working together for strengthening the Gulf march and achieving integration among the GCC member states.
The Crown Prince praised the importance given to the Kuwaiti-Bahraini joint committee aiming at bolstering bilateral cooperation and pushing ahead all topics targeting joint Gulf action in line with the bases formed by the longstanding bilateral relations.
He also commended Kuwait's interest in supporting the development march in the GCC through its effective role in development programs, which has contributed to promoting sustainable development programs in Bahrain.
For his part, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled expressed his country's pride for closer ties with Bahrain and its interest in continuing cooperation and coordination based on a joint vision of the two countries.
He also hailed the keenness of the two countries to support joint Gulf action and to enhance pan-Arab integration. (pickup previous) mgh.hm
