"The course tackles, inter alia, the viability of a novel to become a feature film, and the vision of the novelist, while writing, for the film-making, the characters and the scenario," Farzat told KUNA after the event.
"It also featured the screening of parts of movies and their corresponding excerpts of the original novels in order to shed light on the cinematic treatment of a novel," he pointed out.
He noted that the course aimed primarily to create literary material suitable to cinema and direct the attention of filmmakers to creative writers.
The course attracted more than 30 participants, he said, adding that the KWA held several non-profit courses in with a view to promoting creativity of young writers in poetry and short-story. (end) tms.gb
