Four gunmen killed in E. Saudi Arabia

RIYADH, Dec 20 (KUNA) -- Saudi security forces killed four gunmen Saturday in a village in the east of Saudi Arabia in an operation to arrest the suspects who shot dead a soldier there last week, the Interior Ministry said.
The primary suspect in the shooting of the Saudi soldier was among the four gunmen who were killed in a shootout in Awamiya Village in the Eastern Province, the spokesman for the ministry said.
A Saudi soldier was also wounded in the shootout, the spokesman added.
He warned that anybody who could even try to disrupt security in the kingdom would be brought to justice, thanking citizens in the Eastern Province for cooperating with security forces. (end) ad.mt
