Ban denounces latest pattern of attacks

NEW YORK, Dec 19 (KUNA) -- The UN Chief is dismayed by and strongly condemned the pattern of attacks against innocent civilians, including women and children, by militant groups and terrorists in different parts of the world.
This week alone, there have been appalling killings in Nigeria, Yemen and Pakistan, Secretary General Ban Ki-moon's press office said in a statement.
The perpetrators of these despicable acts of violence must be brought to justice, Ban stressed.
The UN official conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and expressed his solidarity with the governments and peoples of the countries involved in their fight against terrorism. (end) mao.bs
