KUNA correspondent re-elected Anglo-American Press Association president

PARIS, Dec 19 (KUNA) -- KUNA Correspondent in France John Keating has been re-elected a president of the Anglo-American Press Association (AAPA) in Paris for a record fourth year in a row.
In a press statement, the AAPA said that the General Assembly members have unanimously re-elected Keating for a new one-year term to lead a twelve-member board.
Keating, 57, joined work at KUNA office in Paris in 1993. He served as AAPA board member and vice president for several years before being elected to the post of president for the first time in 2011.
The AAPA, founded in 1907, groups some 100 representatives of the world's major English-speaking press organizations such as The New York Times, Newsweek, Time (magazine), The Guardian, The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, Sunday Telegraph and the International Herald Tribune.
The Association also groups representatives of leading wire services and media outlets such as the Associated Press, Reuters, AFP, CNN, BBC, NBC and France International, besides KUNA. (end) amm.ibi
