UAE-Kuwaiti joint cmte meeting kicks off

ABU DHABI, Dec 15 (KUNA) -- The ministerial meeting of the UAE-Kuwaiti Higher Joint Committee started here on Monday under co-chairmanship of Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
In his speech, Sheikh Sabah Khaled congratulated UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and the UAE's people on the 43rd anniversary of their country's National Day, expressing his gratitude for events held by UAE on the occasion of the honoring of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as a "Humanitarian Leader" and Kuwait as a "Humanitarian Center".
Sheikh Sabah Khaled underlined the depth of brotherly relations between the two countries at all levels and their keenness on consolidating and strengthening these relations to serve common interest and implement directives of the two countries' leaders to achieve further progress and prosperity for the common interest of the two countries and their peoples.
The Kuwaiti minister said that the meeting contributed to cementing and deepening the brotherly relations, commending the outcomes of the meeting, including a common vision for opening wider fields of bilateral cooperation. (end) ash.hm
