Saudi Arabia decides cabinet reshuffle

RIYADH, Dec 8 (KUNA) -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud here on Monday issued a Royal order by which six ministers were relieved and eight others appointed.
Dr. Suliman Abal Khail and Dr. Khalid Abdullah Al-Sabti were appointed as ministers of Islamic Affairs and Higher Education respectively, a statement by Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said on Monday.
The portfolios of health and information went to Dr. Mohammed bin Ali bin Hiazaa Al Hiazaa and Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Khudairi respectively, it added.
Also the list of the newly-appointed ministers included Dr. Fahad bin Matad bin Shafaq Al-Hamad as Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Soliman bin Saad Al-Humayyd as Minister of Social Affairs, Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Moqbel as Minsiter of Transport and Walid Al-Khuraiji as Minister of Agriculture .
The Royal order instructed the concerned authorities to carry out the order with immediate effect. (end) yms.hm
