FAJ condemns 'Jewish state' draft law

CAIRO, Nov 27 (KUNA) -- The Federation of Arab Journalists (FAJ) on Thursday condemned Israeli draft law considering Israel as the national homeland of the Jewish people.
This step reveals Israel scheme not only to Judaize Jerusalem, but create a Jewish state on Palestine land, said FAJ statement.
Israel is making demographic changes in Jerusalem to through expansion of settlement activities and West Bank fence to isolate large numbers of Arab neighborhoods, statement added.
It also criticized the continuation of the Israeli excavation under the southern and western walls of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
FAJ described this decision as a new crime committed by Israel and a flagrant violation of UN resolutions.
It called on all international human rights organizations to condemn this decision and to take action against Israel.
FAJ described Israeli acts as a breach of the international law and the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 and violation of moral and humanitarian principles. (end) rg.hs
