ROME, Nov 26 (KUNA) -- Rulings and decisions by the Constitutional Court must be respected and fulfilled by believers in the rule of law, National Assembly Speaker Marzouk Al-Ghanim said here on Wednesday.
Al-Ghanim's remark follows a ruling by the Constitutional Court earlier today turning down six contestations against the 2014 National Assembly by-elections.
Today's decision by the Constitutional Court, and previous ones, are regarded as a final say for constitutional differences or disputes. "Based on this, they are binding, regardless of our political views or tendencies," he told KUNA.
Al-Ghanim is on an official visit to Italy invited by Chairman of the Italian Senate of the Republic and the Upper House Pietro Grasso. (end)
