Kuwaiti Interior Min., US amb. discuss common issues

KUWAIT, Nov 24 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and US ambassador in Kuwait Douglas Silliman on Monday discussed issues of common interest.
Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled lauded the deep-rooted ties between Kuwait and US, according to a statement of the Security Media Department of the Interior Ministry.
The US ambassador pointed out the importance of the topics discussed such as ways to strengthen relations between the two countries and to share mutual views, which aids the direction to further cooperation, the statement added.
The meeting was attended by several senior officials of the Interior Ministry. (end) ams.abd.hs
