ISIL kills 25 members of Sunni tribe in Anbar - sources

BAGHDAD, Nov 22 (KUNA) -- In an assault on Iraq's western Anbar Province, Islamic State (ISIL) insurgents are reported to have killed 25 armed members of the Sunni Albu Nemr tribe, according to security sources.
All contact was lost between Albu Nemr - one of the major Sunni tribes who have taken up arms against the insurgents - and Iraqi security forces after ISIL's attack on Ramadi, the largest city in Anbar, the source told KUNA.
Security forces found 25 bodies belonging to the tribesmen after Friday's attack.
ISIL has killed hundreds of the Sunni tribe over the past few weeks after seizing the town of Hit and nearby villages in western Anbar. (end) ahh.sd
