Dozens wounded in West Bank clashes

RAMALLAH, Nov 21 (KUNA) -- Israeli forces on Friday clashed with Palestinians protesting violations of Al-Aqsa mosque in different areas of the West Bank.
Witnesses told KUNA that the clashes that took place at Qalandiya and the northern Jerusalem Arram town, were violent and that the Israelis used rubber bullets and tear gas. Many were injured .
At Qalandiya Barrier, the Israeli army attacked reporters and did not allow them to take shots of the quelling of protests.
Similar clashes erupted in Hebrew, and the Israeli forces shot at the protestors.
Meanwhile, Palestinians performed the Jumu'ah (Friday noon prayer) at Al-Aqsa today after the Israeli authorities allowed Palestinians from Jerusalem and the 1948 occupied territories to enter the mosque. Access was denied to Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza.
Meanwhile, many Palestinians taking part in peaceful protests in some villages against the Separation Wall and settlement plans were injured when the Israeli forces attacked them.
Three protesters in the village of Al-Nabi Saleh near Ramallah were wounded when the Israelis tried to stop the march by live auammnition and gas bombs and were hurriedly taken to hospital, Basim Al-Tamimi, from the village told KUNA by phone. (end) nq.msa
