PARIS, Nov 21 (KUNA) -- US carrier Delta has placed a firm order for 50 wide-body Airbus planes to add to its extensive fleet from the European manufacturer, Airbus said in a statement Friday.
Delta is purchasing 25 of the A350-900 model and 25 of the A330-900 fuel-efficient planes. Both planes are medium-to-long range transports.
No value was put on the contract but it should be between USD 10 billion-USD 14 billion, according to list prices although prices do vary based on quantity purchased, training and spare parts and maintenance.
