Kuwaiti shooters hailed for 33-medal tally at recent Arab Ch'ship

KUWAIT, Nov 19 (KUNA) -- The huge tally of Kuwaiti marksmen at the concluded 11th Arab Shooting Championship, including 33 medals - 11 gold, 12 silver and 10 bronze - was praised by a Kuwaiti sports official upon their return on Wednesday.
"It is not unusual for Kuwaiti shooters to come back home with these achievements as this has been the case across various Gulf, Arab, Asian and international competitions," deputy chief for sports affairs at the Public Authority for Youth and Sports Ahmad Al-Khazaal told KUNA.
While welcoming the champions back home at Kuwait International Airport, he added, that Kuwait Shooting Club is one of the unique clubs locally that have added several admirable accomplishments on the international scale.
The official state sports body, PAYS, will be honouring the shooters at a ceremony held in their honour at the end of December, and the event will also include other accomplished athletes. (end) bsu.sd
