NEW YORK, Nov 18 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Tuesday asserted importance of the human resources as one of the most important resources in UN organization and its workforce.
In a speech at the 69th General Assembly fifth committee session, Kuwait's Third Secretary of Kuwait Permanent Delegation to the UN Nasser Al-Ramzi said that Kuwait is fully committed to UN Secretary General's report about the general review of the reform of the management of human resources.
The session focused on discussing Human Resource Management.
The Kuwaiti diplomat hailed the progress and UN administrative reform that have been made so far, stressing on Kuwait's continued support to the Secretary General to reach the desired results in the field of human resources management.
In spite of such progress, Al-Ramzi added, the organization should carry out reforms at the domestic level, starting from the development of human resources, the development of policies in education, career development to implement the principle of justice, and functional equality to reach job equality with the participation of representatives of developing and developed countries.
Kuwait emphasizes on the importance of developing a system of follow-up and monitoring for reform measures and process to ensure it will achieve the expected outcome in raising the efficiency of UN organization's work. (end) mao.mb
