GCC leaders provide significant support for women sports - Sheikha Naeema

By Mohammad Al-Enezi MANAMA, Nov 10 (KUNA) -- Chairwoman of the Organizing Committee for Women Sport in GCC countries Sheikha Naeema Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah affirmed the significant of support provided by GCC leaders for women sports.
Sheikha Naeema also pointed out, in a statement following conclusion of the 19th meeting of the GCC Women Sport Organizing Committee here Monday, a number of prospective plans to develop various games by the Committee in coordination with different GCC athletic committees, expressing gratitude to the Kingdom of Bahrain for hosting the meeting.
The meeting discussed several sport plans and courses for GCC women, she said, adding decisions made during the meeting were beneficial in improving various games; 10 except football, for girls' teams and single categories.
Sheikha Naeema, also Chairwoman of Kuwait Women Sports Federation, noted that the meeting contributed in coordinating and organizing GCC tournaments in cooperation with the organizing committees for each game, adding that several subjects regarding organizing GCC championships for various games such as junior basketball and handball were also addressed, in addition to coordinating schedules for each championship and competition.
