Arab League ceremony luminous in Kuwait's political history - His Highness Amir's envoy

CAIRO, Nov 3 (KUNA) -- The Arab League's ceremony to celebrate the UN honoring of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as a "Humanitarian Leader" and Kuwait as a "Humanitarian Center" is "a luminous step in the political history of Kuwait," His Highness the Amir's representative Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah said.
Addressing the event held at the League's headquarters in Cairo on Monday, Sheikh Nasser expressed appreciation to the Arab League for holding His Highness the Amir's honoring ceremony in "House of the Arabs." He added that the ceremony crystalizes the historical link between the State of Kuwait and His Highness the Amir with the regional organization that has always upheld Arab joint action.
His Highness the Amir's representative also thanked Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al-Araby and all that took part in organizing the event.
The ceremony celebrates an Arab leader "who has set humanitarian work as a priority of Kuwait's foreign policy --- and who has always worked for Arab solidarity and unity, and who has adopted with fellow Arab leaders several initiatives to preserve the Arab unity." (end) ms.mab.mfm.msa
