Six Egyptian soldiers injured in blast N. Sinai - spokesman

CAIRO, Nov 1 (KUNA) -- Six Egyptian soldiers sustained injuries when an RBG attack struck their army vehicle in the northern region of Sinai during a routine patrol, army spokesman said late Friday.
The injured were transferred to the military Arish hospital for treatment, while the army combed the area, army spokesman Brigadier Mohammad Samir said in a statement.
The incident comes on the heels of two deadly attacks that left 33 Egyptian soldiers dead on October 24.
Egypt has declared a three-month state of emergency in northern regions, which has seen an uptick in violence. (end) rg.ss
