Barrel bombs kill 3, injure 6 in Syria's Homs

AMMAN, Oct 31 (KUNA) -- Two people and a child were killed and other six wounded as Syrian regime's helicopters dropped barrel bombs on Al-Rasten town in the northern countryside of Homs governorate, a monitoring group has said.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, based in the UK, added on Friday that the regime hit areas in Al-Wa'ar district of Homs city with mortars and artillery.
Meanwhile, the Syria Mubasher news agency said in a statement on Friday that 30 members of Al-Khansaa brigade, an all-women's branch of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), were killed Thursday in airstrikes by the US-led coalition in the Reqqa city, east of Syria.
The agency quoted a member in the campaign "Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently" that the 30 women were killed in an airstrike during a meeting.
He added that more strikes were launched in other parts of the city, the regional capital of Reqqa governorate, targeting former official buildings ISIL is using as premises.
Being one of the biggest ISIL brigades, Al-Khansaa includes 200 woman fighters, taking of former government offices headquarters, among them the political security premises.
Less than a month after ISIL seized control of Reqqa, it announced the formation of Al-Khansaa woman brigade. (end) tk.msa
