UAE praises Sweden's recognition Palestinian State

ABU DHABI, Oct 31 (KUNA) -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Friday welcomed Sweden's decision to recognize a the Palestinian State.
In a statement to Emirates News Agency (WAM), Anwar Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, hailed this decision, deeming it as a "positive move", especially it comes at a time when the region has been facing hard conditions while Israel is practicing its ongoing settlement policy.
He expressed his gratitude to Sweden, hoping the rest of the world could do the same move.
"Such moves could pave the way toward achieving just and comprehensive peace in the region that has been threatened by Israeli violations against Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque as well by its settlement expansion," he said. (end) ash.hm
