Gunman shoots multiple people, kills one at Seattle school

WASHINGTON, Oct 24 (KUNA) -- A student who opened fire in a Seattle, Washington, high school on Friday shot several people, killing one of them, before being shot himself, local authorities have confirmed.
It remains unclear if he was shot by police or committed suicide.
One local hospital announced it has three patients undergoing surgery from Marysville Pilchuk High School, while another hospital confirmed it admitted one individual from the same school.
"At this point we do not believe there are any other shooters on campus," Marysville Police Commander Robert Lamoureux told reporters. He remarks were picked up here.
At 10:45 a.m. local time, someone inside the school called 911 to report a shooting. While the gunman's name has not been released, he was described by stunned fellow students as "a nice kid" in local media interviews. (end) ys.bs
