Six airstrikes in Syria, 12 in Iraq target ISIL - CENTCOM

WASHINGTON, Oct 24 (KUNA) -- US military forces continued to attack ISIL terrorists in Syria on Thursday and Friday using bomber aircraft to conduct six airstrikes, US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced.
Separately, US and partner nation military forces conducted 12 airstrikes on Thursday and Friday using bomber, fighter and remotely piloted aircraft against ISIL terrorists in Iraq, the announcement said.
In Syria, six airstrikes near Kobane struck three ISIL units and destroyed an ISIL vehicle, the statement said.
In Iraq, three airstrikes southeast and west of the Mosul Dam destroyed two ISIL vehicles and an ISIL mortar position, it said. Three airstrikes south of the Baiji Oil Refinery struck two small units and destroyed an ISIL vehicle, it said.
Two strikes near Baii struck an ISIL training camp, the statement said. Three airstrikes near Fallujah struck two small ISIL units and destroyed three ISIL vehicles, it said.
Finally, one airstrike near Zumar destroyed five ISIL buildings, it said. (end) rm.bs
