KUWAIT, Oct 24 (KUNA) -- The third parliamentary session that kicks off on Tuesday will witness more legislative achievements that started in the past one, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim has said.
Coordination among MPs before the start of a new session is nothing but normal, Al-Ghanim said in a press statement during a meeting for lawmakers on MP Talal Al-Jalal's farm in Wafra late on Thursday. He stressed the significance of such coordination among lawmakers.
The Chief Parliamentarian hoped that the third session of the 14th legislative term would help realize people's expectations.
Asked if the meeting had decided the posts of the parliamentary committees by acclamation, Al-Ghanim said that he hoped so, but "it is not that easy to decide it all this way." Such meetings are not confined to electing members of the parliamentary committee, but MPs also agree on broad principles and work mechanisms, making the utmost use of past experiences, he said, adding that such meetings will be regular.
