Al-Awadhi presents credentials as Kuwait's non-resident Amb. to Antigua, Barbuda

KUWAIT, Oct 21 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ambassador to Cuba Bader Al-Awadhi presented his credentials as the non-resident ambassador to the Caribbean island nation of Antigua and Barbuda on Tuesday.
The credentials were handed to the Governor-General of Antigua and Barbuda Rodney Williams, according to a statement from the Kuwait Embassy to Cuba, send to KUNA in Kuwait.
During his encounter with Williams, the ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti leadership and the Kuwaiti people on the occasion of the recent appointment of the representative of the British monarch.
According to the ambassador, Williams and his government officials praised His Highness the Amir on his being named humanitarian leader and Kuwait designated humanitarian centre by the UN.
They also expressed profound appreciation for the support granted by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development to development projects in their country, and for Kuwait's keenness in enhancing bilateral ties.
Furthermore, Ambassador Al-Awadhi held a series of meetings with each of the prime minister, the foreign minister and the health minister of the country. (end) om.sd
