The Social Reform Society (SRS) president Humoud Al-Roumi during the press conference
KUWAIT, Oct 21 (KUNA) -- The Social Reform Society (SRS) has been instrumental in spreading messages upholding the good and helping the destitute for half a century, said its president Humoud Al-Roumi in a press conference held here on Tuesday.
Al-Roumi said the SRS was currently celebrating fifty years of carrying out charitable work inside and outside of Kuwait, offering humanitarian relief assistance to people who need it.
He noted the good fortune that SRS's fifty year celebration coincided this year with the UN honoring His Highness the Amir as Humanity Leader, since the SRS's work was mainly to assist human beings everywhere.
He praised the Kuwaiti people for their charitable contributions to SRS over the years enabling it thus to carry out its wide-ranging functions with ease and comfort.
He also expressed his delight that His Highness the Amir would be attending the SRS's official anniversary gathering. (end)
