GCC health officials eye guidelines for continuing health education

KUWAIT, Oct 21 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ministry of Health Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Affairs and member of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Health Technical Committee Qais Al-Dowairi underlined the importance of removing obstacles facing criteria of authorized bodies organizing activities and websites.
Addressing the GCC Technical Committee meeting, Al-Dowairi called for setting a mechanism for gauging approved activity benefits for the practitioners.
He added that the websites must meet the quality and technical standards.
Al-Dowairi stated that the GCC health ministers offered unlimited support to the GCC Technical Committee.
He unveiled that the GCC committee has approved a number of resolutions that stresses the importance of setting unbinding unified guidelines for health and professional education activities.
He called for reciprocal recognition of the continuing medical education courses and programs offered by any of the member states. (end) mf.ibi
