Allen, McGurk to visit eight countries including Kuwait as part of anti-ISIL effort

WASHINGTON, Oct 20 (KUNA) -- Special Presidential Envoy for Global Coalition to Counter ISIL John Allen and his Deputy Brett McGurk will embark on a tour in European and Arabian Gulf countries on Tuesday, the State Department announced on Monday.
The tour, due until October 31, would take Allen and McGurk to Britain, France, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Oman, the Department added in the announcement.
They will meet with "a wide range of government officials, regional partners and multilateral institutions in support of international coalition efforts to degrade and defeat ISIL," the announcement said. (end) rm.bs
