KUWAIT, Oct 20 (KUNA) -- The President of the Kuwaiti Society for the Ideal Family and Al-Fatah Sport Club Sheikha Fareeha Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah expressed her eagerness on Monday to help alleviate the suffering of Somali people.
In a statement by the society received by KUNA, Sheikha Fareeha discussed with Somali Ambassador to Kuwait Abdulqader Amin Sheikh ways to strengthen human bonding between the two nations.
The ambassador congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah after the UN honored him as "Humanitarian Leader" and Kuwait as "Humanitarian center," said the statement.
The ambassador was accompanied by various Somali officials which helped briefed in detail Sheikha Fareeha on the humanitarian situation in Somalia.
Sheikha Fareeha received an invitation to visit Somalia to get firsthand account on the situation in the brotherly nation. (end)
