DOHA, Oct 18 (KUNA) -- Qatar on Saturday expressed its strong denunciation as Israeli troops broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque squares and limited Muslim worshippers' access to the mosque.
Qatar denounces violations committed by Israel against the Holy places, Palestinian people, said a statement by Foreign Ministry on Saturday.
According to the statement, Doha stressed the rejection of Israeli acts that fuel tension and raise insecurity in the region.
As a response, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Friday called on all Palestinian people to protect the Al-Aqsa Mosque from Israeli settlers by "all necessary means."
Clashes erupted between Palestinians and Israeli forces in the city of Al-Khalil (Hebron) after Israel forces had prevented Muslims from praying inside the mosque. (end)
