German authorities track down more than 200 ISIL activists

BERLIN, Oct 11 (KUNA) -- More than 200 ISIL activists have been tracked down in Germany, as political parties demand for tighter law measures to counter terrorism, German judicial authorities announced Saturday.
German Minister of Justice Mass Heiko said in press statements that a number of complaints were filed against a large number of alleged ISIL activists. "We have opened investigations against more than 200 ISIL activists and we will fight terrorism in the country with all legal actions," Heiko stressed.
As for parties' demands to enforce stricter legal measures, the German minister pointed out that he will study these demands but explained that "the problem does not lie on applying laws but it lies on the brutalities committed by those activists." The German ruling parties had asked for tighter legal measures when some German terrorists returned home after travelling to Syria and Iraq to fight alongside the ISIL group. (end) anj.nfm
