Air traffic resumes at Sanaa int'l airport - Min

SANAA, Oct 1 (KUNA) -- Yemeni Minister of Transport Wa'id Abdullah Ba-Thib said Wednesday that most international airlines resumed flights to and from Sanaa International Airport after a two-week suspension.
He called, in a statement, on the remaining airlines to follow suit and resume their flights given that the security situation in the capital city improved remarkably in recent days.
"The Ministry of Transport and the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority (CAMA) continue working hard to facilitate the operations of the various international airlines," Ba-Thib affirmed.
On September 21, the CAMA announced that all international airlines were brought to a standstill of their activities at the airport in the wake of the Houthis' takeover of almost all government, security and military institutions in the capital city. (end) az.gb
