Kuwaiti-South Korean relations "excellent, positive" - Al-Jarallah

KUWAIT, Oct 1 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Khaled Al-Jarallah commended Wednesday "excellent, positive and constructive" bilateral relations with South Korea, praising at the same time the two countries' significant cooperation on various levels.
The State of Kuwait has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the first time with South Korea on construction, Al-Jarallah told reporters on the sidelines of South Korean Embassy's National Day celebration.
The MoU would be a good beginning for Kuwait, represented by Ministry of State for Housing Affairs, in cooperating with giant Korean companies in building residential areas in Kuwait, Al-Jarallah added.
He expressed most congratulations to the government and people of South Korea on the occasion of their country's National Day, affirming aspiration for further positive cooperation and bolstering of relations between the two countries.
Furthermore, Al-Jarallah recalled, with pride and appreciation, South Korea's supportive stance of Kuwait during the Iraqi invasion in 1990, and backing up the Kuwaiti right, noting that South Korea's stance showed depth of bilateral relations and ties between the two countries. (end) hrz.ma
