Arab Parliament to formulate Arab draft document on women's rights

CAIRO, Sept 26 (KUNA) -- The Committee of Experts in charge of preparing the draft document for Arab women's rights convenes here a meeting on Saturday.
The draft document is part of a draft project carried out by the Arab Parliament to hold a conference on the Arab women's rights.
A statement issued by the Arab Parliament said that the meetings of the Committee of Experts with members of the Subcommittee will continue over two days in the presence of the President of the Arab Parliament Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Jarwan, and members of the sub-committee of the Committee for Social Affairs, education, culture, women and youth which is headed by Dr. Nawal Al-Faouri.
The statement said that the committee of the Arab document experts for women's rights is made up of seven senior Arab experts in the field of legal and legislative drafting and the rights of women from Egypt, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia, Jordan and the Arab League.
He added that the project aims to produce a document for Arab women's rights and to become a legislative framework and a reference for the enactment of laws for Arab women. (end) mfm.aff.tg
