Housing Minister arrives in Cairo ahead of Arab ministers meeting tomorrow

CAIRO, Sept 23 (KUNA) -- Minister of State for Housing Affairs Yasser Abul arrived in Cairo on Tuesday to preside a Kuwaiti delegation at the 78th Executive Office Arab Housing Ministers meeting, scheduled to kick off a day later.
Upon his arrival, the minister was received by Kuwait's Permanent Representative in the Arab League Ambassador Aziz Al-Daihani and Kuwait Diplomat Attache Mharib Al-Enezi.
The meeting will review and consider recommendations by the scientific advisory technical committee, as well as the recommendations of the 15th meeting of the Committee on Codes unified Arab building, which was held between September 16 and 18.
The meeting is also due to go over issues and goals expected at the Fourth Arab Conference on Housing, scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia in 2016.
Furthermore, the meeting will review experiences and insights by the Technical Secretariat of the Council, including announcing the winners of the "Architect 2014" award on the "affordable housing" contest theme.
The ministers will also discuss ways to provide necessary support for the Arab Housing website as a data and information platform.
Finally, the meeting will witness the election of a president and two deputies for the Arab Executive Office of the Ministers of Housing and Construction for the next two years. (end) ms.mb
