KUWAIT, Sept 22 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received Monday a congratulatory cable from Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.
In his cable, Berri, on behalf of all Lebanese lawmakers, congratulated His Highness the Amir on the United Nations honoring and proclamation of His Highness the Amir a "Humanitarian Leader" and Kuwait a "Humanitarian Center".
Berri expressed appreciation and admiration of Kuwait's and His Highness the Amir's contributions to global humanitarian action. He wished Kuwaiti leadership and people everlasting welfare and progress.
In response, His Highness the Amir sent a cable to the Lebanese top lawmaker thanking him and all Lebanese MPs on their good sentiments which reflected the deeply-rooted ties between the two Arab countries. (end)
