KUWAIT, Sept 20 (KUNA) -- Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega on Saturday congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad AL-Jaber Al-Sabah on the UN honoring of conferring him with the title 'Humanitarian Leader' and Kuwait a 'Humanitarian Center'.
This came during his reception of the visiting Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation, who met earlier today with Nicaraguan Foreign Minister Samuel Santos.
Both meetings were attended by Kuwaiti Ambassador to Mexico and non-resident envoy to Nicaragua Sameeh Hayat, who on his part, conveyed congratulations of His Highness the Amir to President Ortega on the country's National Day.
Ortega, during the meeting, voiced desire to further relations with the State of Kuwait, as well as keenness to visit Kuwait in the near future upon an official invitation previously sent to him from His Highness the Amir.
The Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation arrived in Nicaragua last Tuesday on a four-day visit. (pickup previous) hb
