BERLIN, Sept 19 (KUNA) -- His Highness the visiting Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and his accompanying delegation met German Chancellor Angela Merkel here on Friday.
During the meeting, which was held in a friendly atmosphere that reflected deep historical relations between Kuwait and Germany, they discussed bilateral political, economic and military cooperation and ways and means of promoting and developing them for the common interest of both sides.
They also considered the current political developments and ongoing efforts exerted by the State of Kuwait, which holds the current rotating presidency of the Arab Summit, to tackle such developments in order to achieve regional security and stability.
Furthermore, both sides thrashed out threats and dangers posed by terrorism and extremist groups to regional and global security and stability, stressing concerted international efforts and cooperation against terrorism.
During the meeting, His Highness the Prime Minister lauded measures adopted by the German government as part of international efforts in this regard. (end)
