Kuwaiti delegation, Armenian PM discuss boosting relations

KUWAIT, Sept 19 (KUNA) -- A delegation of the Kuwaiti-Armenian Friendship Group on Friday held talks with Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan on a number of topics of common interest and ways to strengthen relations between the two sides.
Armenian Prime Minister welcomed the visiting Kuwaiti delegations and expressed eagerness to boost bilateral relations at all levels, Kuwaiti Embassy in Armenia said in a statement received by KUNA.
The statement added that Armenian Prime Minister highlighted the efforts exerted by his government to overcome difficulties facing Kuwaiti investor, expressing the desire to expand trade exchange between the two countries.
For his part, head of the Kuwaiti-Armenian Friendship Group Faisal Al-Shaya said the visit aims to develop bilateral relations and to promote public diplomacy between Kuwait and Armenia.
Al-Shaya said Kuwaiti MPs are keen on doing all in power for the success of political and economic partnership between Kuwait and Armenia and to complete ratification of pending agreements.
The meeting was attended by Kuwaiti Ambassador to Armenia Bassam Al Qabandi and Kuwaiti delegation, including prominent MPs. (end) ams.hs
