UN honoring of His Highness the Amir "unprecedented event" -- Advisor

NEW YORK, Sept 10 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's honoring by the United Nations is an "unprecedented event" that reflects Kuwait's status amongst nations, said Advisor at the Amiri Diwan Mohammad Abulhassan here late Tuesday.
Through the UN's long history, the honoring of His Highness the Amir, which was held yesterday, was an outstanding occasion which showcased Kuwait's efforts in the humanitarian field, said the official in a statement during a reception held by Kuwaiti Permanent Envoy to the UN Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi.
The efforts of His Highness the Amir was the main reason behind Kuwait's humanitarian reputation; thus, it's not strange to see His Highness being awarded with the "Humanitarian Leader" title, said Abulhassan. (end) mao.gta
