KUALA LAMPUR, Sept 3 (KUNA) -- The embassy of Kuwait in Indonesia inaugurated a number of charitable projects on Wednesday at the location of the village named after His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in the province of  West Java, a Kuwaiti official said.
   The inauguration of today's projects come as a continuation of others that had been engendered in the village by Kuwaiti charitable organizations, said the Kuwaiti ambassador to Indonesia Nasser Al-Enizi, in a statement by phone to KUNA.
   The entire village, located within the city limits of Ghawert, boasts numerous projects vital to the people of the city such as schools, child  and elderly care centers, student dormitories, vocational training centers and other facilities, all funded generously by Kuwaiti benefactors or Islamic charities in conjunction with the Kuwaiti ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Beit Al-Zakat, the charitable arm of the ministry, said the ambassador.
   Among those attending today's inauguration were Indonesian minister of social affairs Salem Al-Saqaf, general manager of the Kuwait Beit Al-Zakat Ibrahim Saleh and the assistant secretary for public relations at the Awqaf ministry Khulaif Al-Uthaina. (end)  mam.ajs
