KUWAIT, Sept 2 (KUNA) - His Highness Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah welcomed in his office at Bayan Palace on Tuesday a number of prominent Kuwaiti actors, namely Hayat Al-Fahad, Suad Al-Abdallah, and Tariq Al-Ali, a statement by the office said.
Attending His Highness the Prime Minister's meeting with the actors was Minister of Information and State Minister for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah.
His Highness the Prime Minister stressed in the meeting that the Kuwaiti art and artists have carried through for decades a message of affirming higher societal values and lofty goals to aspire for, all under the umbrella of propagating the unity and cohesion of the society at large.
He indicated in the meeting that the government spared no resources in buttressing works of art that tout higher values and norms leading up to further progress for the society. He applauded the careers and works of a number of well-known artists and actors whose contributions to the progress of art in Kuwait have left an indelible imprint.
The three actors in today's meeting with His Highness the Prime Minister expressed their gratitude to him for his unequivocal support of art and artists in Kuwait, and affirming their commitment to the spirit and letter of the law when carrying out their works of art in any guise and at any venue.
In the course of the meeting, His Highness the Prime Minister spoke by telephone with the highly esteemed Kuwaiti stage and television actor and producer Abdul-Hussein Abudl-Redha, who apprised His Highness of his (i.e. Abul-Redha's) current health status and of his gratitude to His Highness for the indefatigable support he has shown to art and artists in Kuwait.
